Brentwood Home Page news reports Registration for the Brentwood YMCA youth spring soccer league is open to city residents through Sunday, Jan. 15, for ages U-7. It will then open to all from Jan. 16 to Jan. 22.
Children in the U-4 through U-6 divisions aren't subject to separate registration periods and can register any time until Jan. 22.
Cost is $85 for YMCA members, and $120 for YMCA program members. An additional late fee of $15 per family will be assessed beginning Jan. 23, and there are no refunds after Feb. 6.
Limited space may be available for those residing outside of Brentwood city limits due to regulations of the City of Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department for use of Crockett Park.
The age divisions are set according to the child's age as of July 31, 2011.
Practices of one hour per week will begin after Feb. 20, with each coach determining the time. U-6 and younger will practice at the Brentwood YMCA, and U-7 and older at Crockett Park.
Games will be played on Saturdays March 10 through May 5 or May 19. No games will be played on May 12 at Crockett Park because of the Brentwood Soccer Club Tournament.
The Recreational League will consist of teams in U-4, U-5, U-6, U-7, U-8, U-10 and U-12 divisions. Teams will be put together by the YMCA. Each player will play at least half of each game.
The Advanced League divisions are U-8 (boys only), U-10, U-12, U-15 and U-18. Players will register individually and list the head coach’s name on their form. If a child has not been requested by a coach, he/she may be placed in the recreational division.
