Twenty youth from seven area high schools have been selected to participate in the Youth Leadership Brentwood Class of 2012.  During a five-month period, these student leaders will take an intensive look at the Brentwood community, hone their leadership skills and meet one-on-one with adult community leaders in various business sectors.

Class members are:

Youth Leadership Brentwood provides students a hands-on understanding of lots of different aspect of Brentwood, including its history and government, while simultaneously fostering their leadership skills.

The Class of 2012 program opened in October of 2011 with an opening reception and overnight retreat that included a historical tour of Brentwood and team-building exercises. Other themed-program days include Media and Quality of Life Day in November, Business Day in December, and Government Day in January of 2012. The program will conclude with a closing retreat and graduation in February 2012. 

Youth Leadership Brentwood is a program of the BCS Chamber Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce.

The program’s Presenting Sponsor is Brentwood Academy. Other sponsors are Brentwood Noon Rotary; Brentwood Family YMCA; NIC, Inc.; Reliant Bank; the Leadership Brentwood Alumni Association; and parents of YLB alumni.
