Legends Club site of June 8 event Brentwood Home Page news reports Area golfers can spend a day on the course while raising scholarship money for local students pursuing degrees in health care.
The 17th annual Williamson Medical Center Foundation Golf Tournament will be Wednesday, June 8, at Vanderbilt Legends Club of Tennessee. Funds raised from the event benefit the Fay Porter Memorial Medical Scholarship administered by the WMC Foundation. This year, more than 30 scholarships were awarded to students pursuing medical, nursing and pharmacy degrees.
Morning flight registration and breakfast begin at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Lunch and presentation of awards will follow play. Afternoon flight registration and lunch begin at noon with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. A buffet-style meal and awards presentation will follow play.
The tournament features a four-person scramble; putting contest; mulligan package; door prizes; player gift bags; and prizes for flight winners, longest drive, closest to pin and hole-in-one.
