Raptor Rumble, pep rally and dance combine for busy day

Ravenwood High Schools’s 2011-2012 Coming Home Queen and King are Katie Parrott and JP Liederbach. The King and Queen were crowned during the half-time portion of the varsity boys game against Centennial High School.
Immediately following the game a semi-formal Coming Home Winter dance was held at the school. The theme of the dance was “Let it Glow.”
Teachers Stephanie Dykes and Margaret Marrota were in charge of organizing Friday’s activities, which also included the annual The Raptor Rumble Kickball Tournament and the winter sport pep rally that celebrated all of the Raptors’ winter sport teams.
The kickball tournament included a special presentation by the Waves Organization.

Susan Crawford and Dane Felix
Susan, daughter of Mark and Charlotte Crawford, is the vice president of Habitat for Humanity and is a member of student council and the National Honors Society. Dane, son of Mike and Kim Felix, is a member of the rugby team and the National Honors Society.

Katie, daughter of Jim and Laura Parrott, is a member of the golf team and the National Honors Society. JP, son of Nan Liederbach, is a member of the RHS football and basketball teams.

Assisting with the crowning ceremony are the 2010-2011 Coming Home Queen and King. Amy is currently a nursing major at Auburn University and Jae is a student at Vanderbilt University.

Lauren, the daughter of Donovan and Tammy Caballero, is a member of the tennis team, student council, and the National Honors Society. Alex, son of Rick and Karen Blackburn, is a member of the football and lacrosse teams, as well as the National Honor Society.

Deya is the daughter of Debesh and Sukti Maldas. She is the STARS president and a member of the RHS choir. Dalton, son of Susan and Jeff Talley and Mark and Jennifer Ross, is a member of the Ravenwood media department and is a broadcaster on RHS TV. |
