Ravenwood High School will all be represented at this weekend's Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association's state dual wrestling championships taking place for the first time in Williamson County. Over 80 teams will descend upon the Williamson County Agriculture Expo on Friday and Saturday. It is a bracket-based, full team competition.
The tournament had previously taken place at ClarksvilleHigh School.Wrestlers will again battle next weekend at the Regional Championships to qualify for the individual state championships which will also move to the Ag Expo. They are scheduled for 18-20.

On the ice
Brentwood's hockey team (13-3-1) will take to the ice tonight at 6:40 p.m. at A-Game Sportsplex in game seven of the GNASH tournament. The Bruins will be taking on Montgomery Bell Academy who are 9-8-1.
Ravenwood's hockey team (13-1-3) will be playing Wilson Central/Brentwood Academy team (6-10-2) at 8:10 p.m. also at A-Game. The Raptors' only loss was to BHS.
If both RHS and BHS win, they will play the next round against each other downtown at Centennial Sportsplex.
GNASH is a double elimination tournament with the top four teams going on to the 2010 Predators Cup, the Tennessee High School Hockey Championships. Those are scheduled March 19-21 at A-Game.
In other hockey action tonight, the Ravenwood-Brentwood blue division team takes on Blackman High School in the Henry Hines Tournament at Centennial Plex B.
And on the court
BrentwoodHigh School girls and boys basketball teams will host the rebels of FranklinHigh School tonight. The BHS boys team (11-10-0) will face a tough challenge with the Rebels, who have produced a much better record of 15-7-0.
The BHS girls team (11-8-0) will be taking on the Lady Rebels who have the opposite record as their boys team with 7-15-0. That game begins at 6 p.m.
The RavenwoodHigh School boys (12-12-0) and RHS girls (16-5-0) will take on Nashville Central Christian at home tonight.
BrentwoodAcademy boys (9-7-0) will take on their prep school neighbor BattleGroundAcademy (5-13-0) at home tonight. Preceeding the boys game, the Lady Eagles (13-9-0) will take on the BGA girls who have had a tough year with a record of 1-20-0. The girls game begins at 6:30 p.m. with the boys following at 8 p.m.
