Last Monday saw straight-line winds and a tornado touchdown in Cool Springs leave behind damage to neighborhoods in Brentwood and all across Middle Tennessee.
The forecast of nearly 100 percent rain and "tornado-speed winds" forced the Brentwood Soccer Club to postpone its banquet scheduled for Monday night, the club said.
"If the forecast holds true, the fields will more than likely be closed and the winds will make it difficult for families to enjoy themselves," Hans Hobson, BWSC director of coaching, wrote in an email to club members.
BWSC expects to talk with the city of Brentwood Monday about rescheduling the banquet. Hobson said the club would try to avoid TCAP school testing dates, but noted teams are closing in on spring state soccer tournaments. |
