Brentwood Home Page news reports The Williamson County Chapter of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association (UTAA) saluted 115 academic leaders of the Class of 2012 from each high school in Williamson County.
The rising seniors with the highest academic averages were recognized at the 2011 Williamson County High School Honors Reception on April 3 at Brentwood Country Club. Those students honored from Brentwood-area high schools were:

The event honored the students for their hard work and provided them with the opportunity to hear more about the UT system and the advantages of staying in the state of Tennessee to attend college. The university wants to attract the best and the brightest to its state schools.

The Student Experience Panel included Kim Swift, junior at the UT-Chattanooga in the Honors Program; Andrew La Haie, sophomore at UT-Knoxville, majoring in human resources management; and Keith Malm, second semester freshman at UT-Martin, majoring in agriculture with a concentration in plant and soil science: golf course and landscape management.
The event recognized the academic leaders of the Class of 2012 from Battle Ground Academy (BGA), Brentwood Academy, Brentwood High School, Centennial High School, Fairview High School, Franklin High School, Independence High School, Page High School and Ravenwood High School. Other students honored at the dinner were:
Battle Ground Academy — Megan Elizabeth Barr, Leslie Jacqueline Douglas, Katherine Arline Kelly, Tyler Alexander Lawrence, Spencer Gray Moore, Diana Adanna Otuwa, Stephen Matthew Pintauro, Kinsey Caroline Sessions, Charles Alan Snider and Dillon Scott Young.
