Brentwood Home Page news reports The Stoney Creek Community U-Pick Garden has began its full-time hours and plans an herb seminar with Cindy Sharpton on July 9.
Hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and 1-7 p.m. on Sundays.
You can access the farm, 4700 Coe Lane, Franklin, from either Arno Road or North Chapel Road from Hwy. 96. For prices, directions and other information, visit www.stoneycreekfarm.webeasysite.us.
The farm has the following vegetables ready: Yellow squash, zucchini squash, green beans, cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli (end of season) and a variety of herbs (basil, cilantro, lemon balm, oregano, dill, to name a few).
Tomatoes are limited right now, but the farm will sell large green tomatoes.
Sharpton's seminar at 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at Stoney Creek will teach how to grow, when to harvest, and easy ways to use and preserve herbs.
Shapton is a writer, speaker, master gardener, garden designer and herbalist from Franklin. She also is the author of the Cracked Pot Herb Book.

Stoney Creek Farm, owned by Olin and Leigh Funderburk, also has garden plots for rent and offers a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Group program to provide baskets of fresh vegetables to customers for 12 weeks.
