The TSSAA Network will televise all 54 state basketball tournament games live for the first time in history, with the 10 championship games being broadcast on Public Television Council stations statewide.

The additional 44 quarterfinal and semifinal games will be broadcast live on the web via www.TSSAANetwork.com, at no charge.

Sixty-four teams will make the field for the 2011 BlueCross Basketball Championships, the state championship events for the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association.

“The LIVE broadcasts are a remarkable opportunity for the participating high schools, athletes, and the TSSAA,” said Bernard Childress, Executive Director for TSSAA. “This will provide unprecedented exposure for the talent and dedication of our student athletes, coaching staffs and support staff.

"The broadcasts will also give fans throughout the state of Tennessee and worldwide the opportunity to participate in the excitement through TSSAAnetwork.com.”

Seven public television stations, including Nashville's WNPT-Channel 8, will carry the Division II-A and AA boys and girls championship games this Saturday, March 5; the Division I Class A, AA and AAA girls state finals Saturday, March 12; and the DI A, AA and AAA boys games Saturday, March 19.

Other stations are WTCI–TV Chattanooga;  WCTE–TV Cookeville; WLJT–TV Martin/Jackson; WETP–TV Tri-Cities; WKOP–TV Knoxville; and WKNO–TV Memphis.
