RHS senior Collin Williams and other Scouts met at Brentwood Library last Saturday to put together 200-plus care packages for Room in the Inn, which provides the homeless shelter at area churches during winter months.
Williams and his fellow scouts sorted and packed the bags for four areas and then delivered them later in the afternoon – just in the time for the recipients to have for the holidays.
Ravenwood’s Tyler Shannon, also a Troop 8 member, heard that the Williamson County Animal Shelter wanted someone to paint a mural on one of the interior walls.
Shannon organized members of the RHS Art Club, then designed a mural and they began work in October. Final touches were going to be put on the mural Tuesday, or possibly on Monday.
