New franchise company perfects
the painting with friends concept

The Wine & Easel was founded in 2010 by Llyn Patterson, Scott Farrell, Carol Christian and Jamie McMillen.

From the consumer’s view, The Wine & Easel, is a beautiful instructional art studio that hosts entertaining art instruction events. From a business perspective, The Wine & Easel offers franchises and currently has 15 markets on hold to expand into including three more markets locally by the end of this year. 

Its first location is located at 91 Seaboard Lane, Suite 108, in Brentwood.

“When we created the brand image and the setting for The Wine & Easel, it was created with our customer in mind,” explains McMillen, who runs the day-to-day operation at the company’s new Cool Springs-area studio.

“We supply the paint, canvas and brushes, so that all our customers need to do is bring their drink of choice and focus on having fun with their friends and family. The great thing is after a night of smiling, laughing and just having fun they take home a personalized masterpiece they created themselves.”

With 99.9 percent of its clientele comprised of women, The Wine & Easel specializes in making every session a special event. And they do!

“Our goal is to make sure that after guests try us once they will never go elsewhere,” McMillen shared. The Brentwood-based franchise takes care of everything for their customers who can attend their choice of more than 14 weekly events.  The Wine and Easel has something for everyone with team building events, private parties, birthday parties, date night, girls night and much much more.

While sessions are designed for adults, youth ages 12-17 are welcome to take part if accompanied by a registered adult. In order to bring and enjoy an alcoholic beverage, participants must be 21 or older. The Wine & Easel hasn’t forgotten about young budding artists, however. Special kid’s classes for ages 5-13 are also scheduled.

The creators of The Wine & Easel take pride in the simplicity of the experience they have perfected. “We open our doors 45 minutes before class starts, so that clients can come in, choose the seat they want, and sit back and relax. If they bring a bottle of wine, we even provide a glass and the bottle opener!”
