 Brentwood Home Page news reports The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s Athletics Division announces the Winter Indoor Tennis Contract Lottery on Saturday, July 31 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. The lottery provides the opportunity to purchase a contract for reserved court time for the winter 2010-2011 indoor season at the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood.
Lottery participants must be Williamson County residents and pre-registration is required at the Indoor Sports Complex between July 26 and July 30. The lottery drawing will take place on Saturday, July 31, at 9 a.m. in Franklin. Court fees apply, and a deposit is required at contract signing.

Little Harpeth tournament announcedThe parks and rec department is also pleased to host the Little Harpeth Junior Slam Tournament, August 6-8. Matches will be played at multiple sites including the Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood, Crockett Park and the Franklin Recreation Complex. Singles and doubles competition will be offered for boys and girls ages 10-18. Registration is open now at www.usta.com, keyword “Little Harpeth” or by calling Mike at (615) 370-3471, ext. 16. Registration ends August 1, and USTA membership is required to participate in the tournament. On-line registration is $35 per singles event and $46 per doubles team.
Williamson County Parks and Recreation is a public organization. No membership is required. Anyone may register for and participate in the department’s leagues, programs, teams, classes and events.
