Brentwood Home Page news reports The Regions Bank branch at 1729 Mallory Lane was the site of an attempted bank robbery late ThursdaY morning.
At 11:37 a.m., Brentwood Police Officers responded to the Cool Springs area bank after receiving a report of the attempt, according to information released by police spokesperson Capt. Tommy Walsh.
Bank employees stated that a male suspect entered the bank and presented a note demanding money. The suspect left the bank a short time later without obtaining currency and was last seen on foot heading west near Bakers Bridge Avenue.
Despite a search of the area by Brentwood, Franklin and Williamson County law enforcement officers, the suspect eluded capture.
The suspect is described as a white male of average height with a thin build. He was last seen wearing navy blue coveralls, a blue “hoodie” type sweatshirt, a black ski mask and sunglasses. He was carrying a black toolbox at the time of the incident.
