It’s not brand-spanking new like Summit High School which opened Thursday in Spring Hill, but after three summer facelifts, Brentwood High looks a bit younger than its 30 years.

Most students got a first peek at the new floors, doors and the “new” administrative offices and guidance center last week during registration. Others saw the final phase of work Thursday when they returned to the Murray Lane campus.

Above, shiny new floors in school colors coordinate with the new lockers installed in 2010.

At left, Principal Kevin Keidel and music director Randy Box stand in front of the school's seal.

Above, the "new" administrative office looks a lot fresher than the original 1982 version that had not been updated in almost 30 years.

Right, students head out at the end of the first school day -- just in time for lunch, since dismissal came before noon.

New windows that go all the way to the floor help open up the office to visitors and passers-by.
