Sportsman's Lodge brings you the “Student of the Week” which will highlight accomplishments by the city’s outstanding high school students.  Sportsman's Lodge will provide each honored student with a $15 gift card to use at their family restaurant.

Each week, one student from each high school will be chosen by their principal to be featured for achievements including citizenship, volunteerism, leadership, academics, and much more.

Brentwood Academy - Taylor Wolf

Taylor Wolf is senior student who manages to achieve great grades while being involved in many activities both in and out of school. She keeps a 4.3 GPA and a long list of extracurricular activities that keep her involved in the Brentwood Academy community.

Taylor plays tennis for Brentwood Academy as well as serves on the art staff for the literary magazine Flight. She is also active in the Wilderness Club and National Honor Society.

Taylor also spends her time involved in the greater Nashville community as well. She is a member of Young Life, part of the Big Sister program, and volunteers at the Nashville Rescue Mission and Happy Tales.

“Taylor's academic work and service activities are exemplary as is her leadership as a critical part of the tennis team. She has been great at Brentwood Academy, and she will be great at whatever she tackles in the future,” said Brentwood Academy headmaster Curt Masters.

Taylor plans on attending Pepperdine University in the fall where she will study art and psychology.

Brentwood High School - Leah Richardson

Leah Richardson is a senior whose work ethic and well-rounded personality made her a standout student at Brentwood High. Leah boasts a GPA of 4.49, but her focus is not all on academics.

Leah is heavily involved in the church choir at Brentwood United Methodist Church. She has also tutored a younger student for three years as well as coached a team of younger girls in soccer. At Brentwood High, Leah is involved in chorus, National Honor Society, and Science Honor Society.

“Leah Richardson is one of the most outstanding, well-rounded students at Brentwood High School. She is known by faculty and fellow students as a leader and hard worker in many areas, including chorus, NHS, and SNHS. Her strong dedication, work ethic and organization skills are consistent with her dedication in the classroom where she takes all honors and AP classes,” said principal Kevin Keidel.

“Dedication and determination to fund SNHS activities was the task accepted and completed by Leah,” said teacher Ashley Seth.

After graduation Leah will attend Washington University where she will study biomedical engineering.

Ravenwood High School - John Lenderman

John Lenderman is a sophomore at Ravenwood who has impressed his teachers and peers with his varied interests in the Ravenwood community. John's academic record is excellent as he maintains a 3.3 GPA.

John's activities include playing bass guitar, taking mission trips with the Nolensville First United Methodist Church and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He also is a member of the stage crew for the school theater productions and on the school’s bowling team.

“John is a super young man who is always willing to help out,” said principal Dr. Pam Vaden.

“John is an absolute joy to have in class. He is extremely hard-working, and he enters class every day with a smile on his face and a positive attitude,” said teacher Erin McCloud.

John is sure to continue to be a successful student and an invaluable helper at Ravenwood High School as he finishes his high school career.
