High temps don't damper cool event Saturday Photos by Jodi Rall For Brentwood Home Page On Saturday, Brentwood got a glimpse of the real athletes of the week as the Full Circle Baseball League closed its 2011 season while at the same time celebrated the official opening of its new baseball field. The field is located behind Concord Road Church of Christ which generously donated the property so the special-needs children would have a field of dreams of their own.
The “Buddies” on Saturday were the Sunset girls softball team and Brentwood firefighters. The smiles were all around as the children were excited by the new field . After big red "Y Guy" cut the ribbon it was time to “Play Ball!”
