Volunteers need to go to new vendor sites for fingerprinting
Brentwood Home Page news reports Adequate Yearly Progress, AYP, results have been released, and Williamson County Schools made AYP in all categories. AYP is the measure of whether a school system or school is making progress in academic achievement based on student performance on annual tests.
All elementary and high schools made AYP in all areas with four middle schools making AYP. Three middle schools did not meet AYP in math for the special education subgroup including Heritage, Sunset and Woodland. Page Middle did not make AYP in math or reading for the special education subgroup.
“I am tremendously proud of the efforts of our teachers, students and administrators,” said WCS Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “We will continue to work with all of our schools to achieve AYP for all schools and in all subgroups.”
Fingerprinting changes: Due to a change in state contracts, the vendor has changed for fingerprinting across Tennessee which began on Monday, August 1. Williamson County Schools will no longer be a site for fingerprinting volunteers or employees, but multiple sites across the area will be available. Go to http://ow.ly/5QzXU for more information.
