Brentwood Home Page news reports
The Williamson County Board of Education’s special called session where a vote is expected on the proposed rezoning of several Cool Springs’ area neighborhoods from the Ravenwood High School zone to the Centennial zone begins at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Administrative Complex Auditorium, 1320 West Main Street, in Franklin.
A large turnout is expected and audience members will be allowed in on a first-come-first-in basis. The auditorium’s capacity is 134 persons, which will be strictly enforced.
In addition to the Ravenwood recommendation, the board will discuss rezoning a portion of the Bethesda Elementary zone to a new south middle/high school.
The agenda includes several consent items, followed by 15 minutes of public comment at which only Bethesda and Cool Springs/Ravenwood parents will be allowed to speak. A sign up sheet will be put out at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium for those who wish to participate. The amount of time given to each speaker will be determined by the number of people who sign up. That number may be limited.
The rezoning recommendations are listed under new business. Action on the recommendations is likely.
