At Monday night’s Williamson County Schools board meeting, the board approved a budget amendment to the 2010-11 budget for $1,662,750 to cover increased medical insurance costs as requested by the county.
It also approved three budget amendments to the current budget. These included an amendment for $1,729,500 to cover increases in employee medical and dental claims; an amendment for $75,000 for legal expenses in the special education department; and a resolution for $75,000 for the Trustee Commission due to actual revenue for property taxes exceeding budgeted amounts.
In other action, the board:
- Approved special high school courses as requested.
- Approved policies on summer school and interscholastic athletics on first reading.
- Approved two policies on second reading including Minutes and Student Fees and Fines.
- Pulled high school course codes for 2010-11 until next month.
