Brentwood Home Page news reports
Brentwood was well represented at this year’s Military Ball with West Point cadets, Air Force cadets and Navy midshipmen.

Some other Brentwood residents currently serving in the armed forces or who are retired also attended the event at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville on Dec. 29.

The Military Ball is sponsored each year by the Middle Tennessee All Academy & ROTC Parents Club for all cadets, midshipmen and ROTC students across and around Tennessee.

The ball is intended to honor these students and their commitment to serve but also serves as a fundraiser for The Wounded Warrior Project.  Brentwood residents Ben Maenza and Andrew Wilson, who were given Hero’s Welcomes home last year and this year respectively after suffering severe combat injuries, were unable to attend due to other obligations.

In total nine Brentwood families were represented in addition to another eight Brentwood residents who made donations to the ball and/or silent auction.

One particular attendee will be a former Christ Presbyterian Academy and West Point graduate who had just returned from Afghanistan. The official website for the annual event is http://www.tennesseemilitaryball.org.
