A quiet subdivision tucked just off Concord Road, Saratoga Hills balances a peaceful park-like setting with convenient location and family-friendly connections.
“We enjoy all the privacy, and yet we have wonderful neighbors – a very nice combination,” says Wanda Clark, who has lived in the community since 1993.
“We moved here from Dallas, and came to Williamson County for the schools. But we were attracted to this particular neighborhood because of the beautiful rolling hills and the large, flat lots. Plus, the homes were well built – beautiful custom homes with a lot of nice details.”
Built from the 1980s by Adams Builders, Saratoga Hills includes just 65 homes. And while there is no formal home owner’s association or amenities, residents donate funds annually to maintain the main entrance. Families also enjoy an active social scene, coordinated by the informal Saratoga Hills Homeowner’s Club.
“We liked the fact that we didn’t have to pay a monthly fee for upkeep or a home owner’s association,” Clark says. “There’s no pool or clubhouse, but everyone is very friendly, and it’s easy to get to know people. Over the years, we’ve had neighborhood picnics, an annual open house and luminaries. The Saratoga Hill Book Club meets once a month, and we have a someone who keeps us updated with email, welcoming new neighbors and sending out announcements.”
This tight-knit sense of community has kept the Cornett family in Saratoga Hills for more than 25 years.
“We chose Saratoga Hills because we were looking for great public schools, new home construction, and large lots,” recalls Judy Cornett, who relocated to the area with her family from Jackson, Miss. “I enjoy participating in the Saratoga Hills Book Club, but our favorite part of living here is having such wonderful neighbors who look out for each other.”
And though the Cornett’s children have long since moved out on their own, Judy still sees Saratoga Hills as “home base.”
“Our daughter and her husband have two children, and live in Nolensville,” she says. “Our son and his wife have two children, and live in Franklin. Since all 10 of us live in Williamson County, our home sees a lot of family activities throughout the year. It is the family gathering place.”
