Lady Bruins fall from undefeated ranks
Brentwood Home Page news reports Brentwood High School transfer Asa Duvall and sophomore Jack Maher each scored 13 points to help the injury-plagued Bruins defeat visiting Station Camp 54-47 on Tuesday night.
BHS improved to 6-3 despite playing without point guard Jack Montague, who injured his ankle a week ago. Junior 6-6 forward Cody Shelton (knee) and key defensive player Ryan Meachem (broken wrists) were already out for 4-6 weeks since early-season injuries.
Two-sport stars Will Jones (soccer) and Andy Schumpert (football) had six points apiece. Jack Bautista and Elijah Gonzalez each hit a 3-pointers for Brentwood.
The Bruins pounced on Station Camp 19-8 in the first quarter and led 29-11 at halftime.
The Brentwood boys team travels to Blackman on Friday night, then plays in the Ensworth Shootout next week and the Hickman County Invitational the week after Christmas.

The Lady Bruins, who had won their first eight games, dropped their first loss of the season with a home defeat.
Senior wing Halle Jarnagin led Brentwood with 16 points including a pair of 3-point baskets. Millie Tunnell added 14.
BHS fell behind early 15-9 before pulling within 27-25 at the intermission but trailed 41-34 after three quarters. The Sumner County visitors then outscored the Lady Bruins 20-14 in the final period.
Station Camp (5-3) got 20 points from Savannah Keele, 15 from Janasia Williams and 13 from Kia Perry, while Kayla Deter hit a trio of 3-pointers.
The Brentwood girls squad plays in the Gallatin holiday event on Friday against Stewart County, then competes in the Beech tourney after Christmas.
