Ravenwood rolls on road, BA splits with CPA; BHS trio pins 3 foes each
Brentwood Home Page news reports Asa Duvall, a transfer from Brentwood Academy, scored 14 points and hit a 3-point as host Brentwood handed Battle Ground Academy its second loss of the season, 57-47, on Tuesday night.

The Bruins (4-2), with two key players out 4-6 weeks, got balanced scoring from eight different players. Point guard Jack Montague, who has committed to Yale, and Andy Schumpert each had nine points.
Jack Bautista added 8 and Jack Maher chipped with 7. Montague and Bautista hit the other 3s for BHS.
Brentwood pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Wildcats to lead by 25-15 at the half.
The Bruins teams travel to Smyrna for Friday's double-header at 6:30 p.m./8 p.m. on Friday, then have a 6 p.m./7:30 p.m. twinbill at Belmont University against Hunters Lane on Saturday.
Brentwood 50, Harpeth Hall 46, girls: Twin sisters Halle and Sara Jarnagin combined for 28 points to help the Lady Bruins (6-0) stay unbeaten by outlasting the visiting Honeybears.
Halle Jarnagin poured in 18 points and hit both of Brentwood's 3-point baskets. Sara Jarnagin and Millie Tunnell each had 10 points, while Paige Parker scored 8.
BHS jumped out to a 14-5 lead and stretched it 25-16 at intermission, but fell behind 35-33 after three quarters. The Lady Bruins had a 17-11 advantage in the final quarter, however, over Harpeth Hall (4-2) -- which got 19 points and four 3s from Kennedy Potts.
Ravenwood 56, Smyrna 44, boys: Post player Joey Barnes dominated in the paint with 21 points to help the Raptors improve to 7-1 despite giving up eight 3-pointers on the road.
The game was tied 17-17 at halftime before Ravenwood put away the Bulldogs. Devin Robinson finished with 18 points and Andy Moore scored 13 and hit a 3-pointer.
RHS returns home to play Siegel on Friday at 6 p.m./7:30 p.m. in a double-header with the girls team.

Ravenwood 61, Smyrna 45, girls: Brandi Devore and the visiting Lady Raptors (6-2) won a shootout with Smyrna (3-4) and Treasure Hunt.
Devore sank five 3-point shots and totaled 21 points, while Hunt also hit five treys and had 19 points. Lexi McKay had 14 points, and Logan Hodskins added 12 for Ravenwood.
Christ Presbyterian 62, Brentwood Academy 48, boys The Eagles (1-4) dug a hole early with an 18-9 first-quarter deficit and couldn't stop Division I prospect Jalen Lindsey, who had 20 points for CPA (5-1).
Josh Lester led BA with 16 points and Danny McGrath score 10, with each hitting twice from behind the 3-point line.
Brentwood Academy makes a trip to Cookeville for Friday's games before taking a long break until the new year.
Brentwood Academy 48, Christ Presbyterian 43, girls: The Lady Eagles (5-3) had to go to overtime to give the CPA girls team (5-1) its first loss of season.
Hailey Pierson's 18 points were tops for BA, and Maren Kreid scored 10 points including a 3-pointer. Faith LeGate led the Lady Lions with 17 points.

Brentwood's Marcus Connally (138), Gabe Hamilton (145) and Nicholas Coffey (220) pinned all three of their opponents in a quadrangular meet with Franklin Road Academy, McGavock and Overton on Tuesday.

BOWLING: Ravenwood boys make semifinals, girls lose in districts
The sixth-seeded Lady Raptors fell 25-2 in the district tournament to No. 1 seed Independence Tuesday at Tusculum Lanes.
The RHS boys team will compete in Wednesday's district semifinals at Franklin Lanes after Monday's victory over Nashville Christian.
