Brentwood Police officers arrested four juveniles and one adult early this morning in conjunction with late-night vandalism on the Ravenwood High School campus.

"At approximately 12:15 am this morning one of our officers was patrolling the area near Ravenwood when he noticed toilet paper littering the area around the baseball and softball fields," police spokesperson Capt. Tommy Walsh said. "He also noticed trash cans and two portable toilets had been overturned. Shortly afterward suspects were seen on foot on school property and our officers later conducted a traffic stop in the area.

"After investigating and interviewing the suspects, our officers arrested four juveniles and one adult for several offenses. The charges (all misdemeanors) ranged from criminal trespassing to contributing to the delinquency of a minor."

Ravenwood principal Dr. Pam Vaden said she and Brentwood High principal Kevin Keidel were dealing with the incident "like two parents" and would not be making a public statement.

The Brentwood-Ravenwood football game is tonight with BHS hosting the 2011 rivalry game. When asked if the police department planned to have extra personnel on hand at tonight's game, Walsh said officers have been conducting extra patrols at both Ravenwood High and Brentwood High for the past few days due to the rivalry football game tonight. "I would expect that to continue over the weekend," Walsh added.

There was no damage to the Ravenwood school building or any of the athletic fields, Walsh reported.
