RHS volleyball wins State Championship

Ravenwood High School's Lady Raptors defeated defending state champions, Dobyns-Bennett to take over that title.  This is the second time this week RHS took down D-B.  Friday's match went three games 25-22, 25-23, and 25-11.  

Madelyn Hutson, the RHS senior who is headed to the University of Texas, was named Most Valuable Player for the state tournametn.  Overall the Lady Raptors finished the season 49-8.
"It was a great team effort and I am so happy for these girls and the hours of training the have put in!" said head volleyball coach Tracey Berry, fresh from their celebration dinner.
