Ravenwood High School's Katie Calloway and Andrea Gobel won college scholarships in the first Williamson County's Got Talent competition presented by the Brentwood Arts Society.
Calloway, who will attend Auburn University this fall, was awarded third place at the May 14 event at the Elk's Lodge in Franklin. Fourth place went to Gobel, who will attend the University of Tennessee,
The top five received $1,000 scholarships awarded by judges. Other winning seniors were: First place, Kyle Boyer of Franklin High School, attending Anderson University; second place, Abigail Bobo of Bethseda, home school, attending Lipscomb University; and fifth place, Jackson Turner of Franklin High, attending Middle Tennessee State University.
Johnny Peppers, Brentwood Arts Society board member, said it was tough competition for the professional panel of judges.
"There are so many talented kids who need help in furthering their education and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to provide this support,” Peppers said.
The competition, with no participation fee, was open to high seniors residing in Williamson County or attending a Williamson County high school. Vision Insurance was title sponsor.
