Taylor Manning was 4 strokes back for the tournament when she took to the course on Wednesday. She shot a 68 to back up her Tuesday score of 73. This gave Manning first place medal position and Ravenwood's first state championship for the 2009-2010 school year.
The RHS girls team started yesterday in 4th place. Taylor Manning, Natalie Turk, and Katie Parrott all played stellar rounds on Wednesday and took home runner-up, missing the team victory by only one stroke. Natalie Turk finished an impressive 11th place overall.
The RHS boys team was represented by Elliot Shin, Chris Sherry, Brendon Caballero, Paul Kleine-Kracht, Nick Vellanti, and Logan Smith. They fought for a 4th place finish in the final day. On the first day of competition the boys were tied for 7th. Yesterday, they came out fighting and got back to the best finish at the state tournament in RHS boys golf history. Congratulations to both teams.
