3rd annual event supports Make-A-Wish, Uganda children
Brentwood Home Page news reports Ravenwood will play host to the third annual Dodge for a Cause tournament on Saturday, Nov. 12.
All proceeds will go to help RHS grant a wish for a child through the Make-A-Wish foundation, and to support children in Uganda through Amazima.
Dodge for a Cause is in honor of RHS students Charlton Cratz, Dariana Rivera, and Andy Choudhari, students who lost their battle with cancer, as well as former RHS student Katie Davis who is currently serving in Uganda (Click here to read recent BHP article on Katie Davis.)
The dodgeball tournament will consist of a boys division and a girls division. Each team will be allowed to roster 6-10 players. The entrance fee is $100.
Dodge for a Cause will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Ravenwood gym and is open to the public. Admission is $2.
The school is asking the community for donations of cases of water, sodas (Coke, Diet Coke, Dr Pepper, and Sprite), and boxes of small bags of chips. RHS is also looking for individuals or businesses to sponsor a team by donating the entrance fee (partial or whole).
If you are interesting in donating, please email Stephanie Dykes at stephanied@wcs.edu.
