Parade and pep rally help fire up crowd

A warm, beautiful day dawned for Ravenwood High students putting finishing touches on their class, club and team floats, not to mention the seniors who decorate their cars and trucks, for the annual Homecoming Parade. It kicked off at Holy Family Church, then meandered its way through Somerset and Oak Hall neighborhoods before ending up at the campus where the student body, staff and plenty of parents were waiting.
The senior girls were declared winners in the annual Powder Puff football game against the junior girls, and then everyone packed the gym for the biggest pep rally of the year.
What class won the float contest? Who won spirit week? Who will be crowned Homecoming King and Queen. We'll have all of that later tonight, so please check back for additional photos, video and more.
