In Brentwood, the name Beasley is synonymous with real estate. And why not? Brentview Realty consistently ranks among the state’s top producers and represents four generations of real estate professionals. But Garrett Beasley – who joined father Andy in the family business 10 years ago – recently got a taste of the national spotlight when he appeared on HGTV’s popular House Hunters.

In the episode, which first aired on Jan. 19, Beasley worked with a young couple in Hendersonville to find their dream home. Chandler and Laura Knox had recently relocated from Georgia and were renting a small condo in the Green Hills area. Beat the cold weather budget blues

Simple tips to help save on your electric costs
By AMY STUMPFL

For Brentwood Home Page
With the unseasonably warm temperatures we’ve been experiencing in Brentwood, it might be easy to forget that winter is upon us. And while we can’t predict the weather, there are a few things we can do to conserve energy and keep utility costs in check.

“The quickest and easiest way to impact your bill is simply to adjust your thermostat,” says Todd Palmer, communications coordinator for Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Cooperation.

“Your heating and air conditioning unit accounts for more than 50 percent of your electric bill, but each degree you raise or lower the thermostat means you pay about 3 percent less on your bill. So you could save 6 percent by simply moving the temperature from 70 degrees down to 68 degrees.
