RHS made the semifinals at the Williamson County Ag Expo by defeating Jefferson County 47-30 in the opener and Houston 44-30 in Friday night's quarterfinals. In the consolation round, the Raptors went on to defeat Clarksville 36-25 and then Science Hill 37-22 in the third-place match.

In the third-place match, 189-pounder Cody Stewart got the Raptors on the board with a decision in the second weight class wrestled. Then Harrison Hawthorne had his second pin of the night at 215, followed by a pin from Dylan Yeager at 285.

Kuenhold’s pin started Ravenwood on another run of three straight wins including decisions by Freeman and Jack Finnegan (125). Gray’s major decision and Billings’ decision pushed the Raptors back ahead, and Jonathan Mabry finished with a victory at 160 for RHS.

After opening with losses at 160 and 171 in the consolation round, Ravenwood won nine straight matches against Clarksville starting in the upper weights with Stewart, Hawthorne and Yeager at 285. Hawthorne and Kuehnhold both pinned their opponents.

In Friday night's quarterfinals, the Raptors got pins from Kuehnhold, Freeman,  Finnegan and Grant Jones (152), plus technical falls by Tanner Reynolds (135) and Gray. Billings scored a major decision, and Taylor Warren (130) and  Mabry also posted decisions at 130 to help secure the victory.

In the round of 16 Friday afternoon, Kuehnhold, Freeman, Reynolds, Gray and Billings all won by pins. Finnegan and Bradley Butters (130) had technical falls, while 103-pounder Jacob Travis scored a major decision and Jones took a decision.

In TSSAA Division II, Brentwood Academy stayed alive in the consolation round Saturday by beating St. Benedict 57-21, but then dropped a 47-32 decision in the consolation semifinals. The Eagles lost in Friday's DII quarterfinal to top-ranked Baylor 68-6.

In the consolation opener, Zeno Dupree (140), Rashaan Gaulden (145), Thomas McClellan (171), Justin Becci (103), Daniel Maloney (119), Carlos Calloway (130) all had pins for BA on the way to victory. In the next round, Towler McClellan (189),  Daniel Maloney (119) and Dupree had pins for the Eagles, while Calloway won his match and Jack Wilson (135) was awarded a technical fall. 

The state individual wrestling tournament is also at the Ag Expo in Franklin in two weeks.
