Action a result of Hillsboro game Brentwood Home Page staff reports Ravenwood faces a fine from the TSSAA for basketball players allegedly coming onto the court during a shoving incident in Friday's home game against Hillsboro, but the school plans to file an appeal.
"Both schools are being assessed a fine for players coming onto the court," said Patrick Whitlock, RHS athletic director and boys basketball coach. "We intend to appeal that decision.Videotape shows that no RHS players came off the bench area."
Neither team had any players face any punishment because the game officials didn't administer the technicals properly.
"It has also been determined that the game officials did not obtain the numbers of the players that came onto the floor at the time the unsportsmanlike incident occurred," the TSSAA memo said. "Therefore, there will be no further disciplinary action to any players in the game."
