Ravenwood High School won the Battle of the Woods on the wrestling mat on Tuesday, winning the dual match with visiting Brentwood High 49-21.

Raptors wrestlers Andrew Long (106), Tanner Reynolds (152) and Grant Jones (160) all won their matches by pin, good for six points apiece. Kyle Kuehnhold (120) returned from a recent injury to win by technical fall, worth five points.

Jacob Freeman (138) and Jonathan Mabry (182) both earned major decisions for four points apiece, and Grant Parsons (113) and Robin Klingensmith (126) picked up six points each for wins by forfeit. Heavyweight Bowen Reau eked out a 1-0 decision, and Camden Grecco also got three points for a decision.

Brentwood's Luke Hamilton took the 132-pound match by pin, and the Bruins' best two wrestlers -- Gabe Hamilton at 145 and Nicholas Coffey at 195 -- won by forfeits. The only other victory by BHS was from Ricardo Browns in the 220-pound matchup.

The region dual tournament takes place this weekend, followed by the state wrestling duals the next weekend at the Ag Expo Center in Franklin. The region and state individual tournaments will be held the two subsequent weekends.
