Brentwood resident develops summer day program for students
Brentwood Home Page news reports The Brentwood Library was the scene recently of Williamson County's first Constitution Day Camp, developed by Brentwood resident Sandi Wells and funded by the Republican Women of Williamson County.
This nonpartisan program featured games and workshops about the U.S. Constitution while students enjoyed great snacks, prizes from Divas and Dudes, and a pizza lunch provided by Marco's Pizza.
The camp was open to rising sixth-graders and exiting eighth-graders. Forty eight students from across the area attended.
President Lincoln (recreated by nationally featured impersonator Dennis Boggs) greeted children as they arrived. Later the President told the students about his life and the importance of studying and learning American history and government.
