Brentwood Home Page news reports A woman from Arizona has been identified as the victim in an early-morning shooting Monday at the Extended Stay America Hotel at 9020 Church Street.
Justine K. Compton, 20, of Phoenix, is expected to be released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the next couple of days, according to Brentwood Police. Compton's condition was updated from serious to good.
BPD received a 911 call at 4:23 a.m. Monday, and the female caller reported that she had been shot. Upon arrival responding officers located the female victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest area.
The incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been made at this time, Capt. Tommy Walsh said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Brentwood Police Department at 371-0160 or Williamson County Crime Stoppers at 794-4000.
