Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary will feature an impressive musical lineup on Saturday, Sept. 11, as it concludes Music in the Meadow, its successful summer concert series.

Decca recording artist Chris Roberts, known for his lively renditions of American classics, will join local artists Fleming & John, Laura Donohue and Marcus Hummon to provide music for the final night. Gates open at 5 p.m., and visitors can picnic, take a nature hike and visit with the resident owls before the concert begins at 7 p.m.

Onsite parking is limited. Tickets are sold by the car, so guests are encouraged to pile their friends in the backseat and pack plenty of quilts and lawn chairs. Concert patrons are encouraged to bring their favorite foods and beverages as concessions will not be sold at the event.

“Carload” tickets are $75, and each ticket covers one car carrying up to six people. Tickets can be purchased by telephone or online, at (615) 370-4672 or www.owlshills.org. Space is limited, and tickets will not be sold at the gate.

Proceeds help support the sanctuary’s live owl exhibits and raptor release program, in which rehabilitated birds of prey such as owls, hawks and falcons are released back into the wild, in addition to other Owl’s Hill educational and conservation initiatives.

Music in the Meadow is sponsored by Cameron Worley, PC, Beaman Automotive Group, the Nashville Franchise Automotive Dealers Association, Fifth Third Bank and Lightning 100’s Team Green.
