BrentWord Communications LLC plans to expand its news coverage of Williamson County next month with the introduction of Nolensville Home Page (www.nolensvillehomepage.com). BrentWord Communications LLC plans to expand its news coverage of Williamson County next month with the introduction of Nolensville Home Page (www.nolensvillehomepage.com). This will be the Brentwood-based company’s third online news site. Brentwood Home Page launched in August 2009 and was followed with the August 2012 launch of Franklin Home Page.

“Expanding into the growing and vibrant community of Nolensville has been in our plans for over a year,” Susan Leathers, co-owner and editor, said. “It’s a natural fit for us, both as a company that has consistently proven itself as an independent, credible and essential local news source as well as an affordable venue for local and regional businesses to reach their target customers.”

The reception from both residents and potential advertisers has been positive since the future launch was announced July 12 on a new Nolensville Home Page Facebook page.

Within 24 hours of the announcement, the Facebook page had over 600 likes, managing partner and co-owner Kelly Gilfillan said.

“Nolensville Home Page will not be a clone of Brentwood or Franklin Home Pages,” Gilfillan said, though there will be similarities. Like its sister sites, all of NHP’s coverage will be local. The coverage area will include the Town of Nolensville proper, as well as the growing south Davidson and east Brentwood areas.

“The development of the new Nolensville high school and K-8 campus will be a huge, ongoing story for us, as will education in general,” Leathers said. Government, community, youth and prep sports, real estate and business will be key coverage areas.

On the business side, a sales effort is already under way and incentives will be offered to NHP’s first advertisers, Gilfillan said. “We really want to reach out to Nolensville-area businesses quickly and give them the opportunity to advertise in key spots.”

Nolensville Home Page will officially launch on Sept. 1 but a “soft launch” is planned in August in conjunction with the start of Williamson County Schools’ 2013-14 school year. Advertisers who sign contracts in July will run for free in August as a bonus, Gilfillan said.
