Updated 1:40 p.m. Tuesday
Brentwood Home Page news reports Brentwood High School will be dismissed at noon today for students who have transportation because Nashville Electric Service must replace a faulty transformer that affects BHS.
Regular bus service will be provided at 2:30 p.m. for students who ride the bus, said Carol Birdsong, communications director for Williamson County Schools.
You may pick up your child from school at Brentwood High at noon, or after 12:30 you may pick up your child at Brentwood Middle School, Birdsong said.
Lunch has been served to students, but there is no phone service at the high school.
Sporting events cancelled today
Ravenwood and Brentwood high schools have both postponed their girls soccer home games scheduled for tonight, and Woodland Middle has rescheduled its football game due to soggy fields.
The Lady Raptors' soccer game against Riverdale has been moved to 6 p.m. on Oct. 10 at Ravenwood due to conditions left by Tropical Storm Lee. The Lady Bruins haven't yet announced a new date for their District 11-AAA soccer game against Centennial, but it will possibly be played Wednesday night.
Woodland Middle's changed its football to Friday.
All athletic fields at City of Brentwood parks will likely be closed this evening as well, according to assistant city Kirk Bednar.
