Brentwood Home Page news reports Still looking for day camps for kids this summer? Brentwood High is hosting a baseball camp this week, Ravenwood is holding a strength and conditioning camp next week, and Williamson County Parks and Recreation has both sports and day camps this summer.
Brentwood Bruin Baseball Camp The camp will run 9-11:30 a.m. from Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3. It is open to rising 3rd-8th graders. Campers will be grouped according to age and/or skill levels.
The cost is $100 for four days of comprehensive instruction and drill work in each of the four fundamentals (throwing, fielding, hitting, and base-running).
The Baseball Camp, staffed by BHS coaches and players, also includes daily competitions in both individual skills and team play. Each camper will also receive a camp T-shirt.
Ravenwood Summer Strength and Speed Camp Camp director Clyde Avant will be offering the summer weight training and running program for all Williamson County students high school students including incoming freshmen for all sports. Both male and female athletes are welcome.
There are two 3-week sessions, during June 6-23 and July 11-28. Sessions runs 10-11:45 a.m. on Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday.
Cost is $225 for each session or $410 for both sessions.
The training program will improve power, flexibility, explosiveness, quickness and speed. It will be specialized for both fall and spring sports.
Space is limited, so pre-register by calling Biff Porter at 615-957-7727. (Payment isn't due until the first day of each session.) You may also register the first day of each session. Registration and payments are due the first day of each session in the lobby in front of the RHS gym starting at 8:30 a.m. A registration form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Cheer/dance camps, June 13-17 or July 11-15, 9-11:30 a.m., Indoor Soccer Arena, 1485 Volunteer Parkway, Brentwood, for girls grades K-8.
Instructors for these camps are all former Tennessee Titans cheerleaders. These camps are for girls with little to no cheer/dance experience as well as for those who have been cheering for years.
Each day will focus on cheer/dance technique, learning choreography and cheers, working on leaps and jumps, learning cool tricks, playing games, and having fun. WCPR will also provide a camp T-shirt, awards and prizes, and a end of the week performance for the parents.

Williamson County Lacrosse camps, June 6-10 or July 18-22, 9 a.m.-noon, Indoor Arena, Crockett Park, for boys and girls rising 2nd-6th grades. (Note: Players need a stick.)
WCLax also has a six-week boys summer league at 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, July 18-Aug. 26. For league play, players will need full gear and and a US Lacrosse membership.

Table tennis, volleyball, basketball & soccer camps in Franklin
Improve skills and learn new techniques in table tennis, volleyball, basketball, tennis or soccer at Williamson County Parks and Recreation summer sports camps for boys and girls ages 8 through 13 in Franklin.
Each four-day camp is $55 per child, and registration is required in person at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. Space is limited (50 participants per camp) and available on a first come-first served basis. Payment is due at registration.

Williamson Parks and Rec day camps
The parks department's seven-week “Down on the Farm!” summer camps of adventure, education, athletics, creativity and entertainment will run 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday- Friday, from June 6 through July 22 (no camp on July 4).
The camps are for youth ages 5 to 12. (Children must be 6 by Sept. 30 and cannot be 13 before June 6.)
Openings are still available for the Bethesda, Fairview, Grassland, Hunters Bend and Nolensville Elementary camp locations. You may register at the camp site starting the second day of camp, Tuesday, June 7, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. or until all available spots are filled.
The Lipscomb Elementary location is filled, but you can be added to the Lipscomb camp site waiting list by calling Trisha Bilbrey at 615-790-5719 ext.44. For camp forms, visit www.wcparksandrec.com
To be eligible for the summer camp program, parents or legal guardians of all campers must live or work in Williamson County.
Camp fees are $17 per day, per child, with a one-time registration fee of $25 each. Parents are required to pay the registration fee and for at least three days of camp fees per child at the time of registration. Campers may then pay as they go; may purchase multi-day units or “block days” to use whenever they wish; or may receive a discount when purchasing the entire seven weeks up front for $510 for the first camper (a savings of $85) and $450 for each additional camper (an extra savings of $60).
