Description: Ostomy Support Group to meet Aug. 11
FRANKLIN, TENN. – Members of Williamson Medical Center’s Ostomy Support Group will learn about advancements in underwear that conceal and support an ostomy appliance during their monthly meeting Wednesday, Aug. 11.
The Ostomy Support Group is designed for those who have or will have an intestinal or urinary diversion. Group participants discuss topics of interest to ostomates and their families, and the sessions provide a safe environment for discussing concerns.
The featured speaker for the August meeting will be Cricket Henley, director of communications for Ostomy Secrets. Certified wound and ostomy nurse Lisa Keyser, R.N., B.S.N., facilitates the group, which meets at 1 p.m. in Meeting Rooms A and B at Williamson Medical Center. There is no cost to join.
