This first week has been awesome!!! I have never felt more confident and determined to exercise and eat right. The support of Jason Huck from Chadwicks and Dr. Ashley Woods this week are a huge help. This week we've been doing some circuit training. I have definitely been feeling sore, but it's a good sore. I know that I am working all my muscles, which is just what I needed! Throughout the Be Healthy Challenge, I want to stay determined and motivated and no matter what, always put my all  . . . [View Full]
A year ago, I began my quest to get in shape. Through the advice of a friend, I started using an app that would train me to run a 5k in about 9 weeks. Through this, I ran my 1st 5k at the end of May last year. My addiction to running began and still continues to this day. I still felt that I was missing something. I didn't feel that I was completely in the shape that I needed to be in so I decided to try eating healthier. It's kind of hard to be consistent when you haven't trained yourself to ea . . . [View Full]

This is such a BIG, FUN thing for me! I love doing this with teammates. I'm a little sore, but that's a good sign. I"'m really enjoying the accountability as well as the food diary and seeing the goals. OK, so I"M totally eating it up. Almost one week down, 11 to go!
Thank you Kim and Dan for being our sponsor and for being our Number One FANS!  Love my shirt and the smoothie was beyond good.  Love ya man!
As a new mom of 2 month old preemie twins, some might think its crazy (or impossible) to add a 12-week health challenge to hourly feedings, doctor appointments, lack of sleep, and a full time job. Well, that's just me! :) I'm so excited to begin the journey of the Be Healthy Challenge. The first 2 workouts at 100% Fit Nashville have been fantastic, and I'm so excited to get abs just like my trainer, Abby Rorex. Ok, so maybe they won't be exactly like hers, but it never hurts to shoot for the s . . . [View Full]
For the longest time, I have had an affinity for fall. Its breathtaking landscaping hued in reds, golds, browns and hints of green remain always in my mind. The air scented with apples, pumpkins, cinnamon, and freshly baked fare calm any nerves I may entertain.  Winter isn’t far behind the glory held in fall. Bare trees, fresh snow, family, and Holidays ripen my soul bringing peace. Spring, though beautifully blooming,  is typically an afterthought.  While I love the beau . . . [View Full]
Imagine if you will a man in his 60th year. Normally considered sane but a bit bent he agrees to take on the “Be Healthy Challenge”, a 12 week program that includes medical, dietary, and personal exercise instruction. He is joins a team, Team Quest, that will compete against other area gyms in how many teammates can reach 3 goals they set as individuals.   Then, in a twist, his lovely bride Anne joins the challenge...on another team! The plot thickens.   But wait. We learn t . . . [View Full]
