Robby Graves

Robby Graves has only been swimming for four years, and last year as a sophomore gained All-American status in the 500m.  Having recently moved to Brentwood from the Sacramento, CA area, Robby is known around BHS for his laid back Cali swagger.

In the pool he is one of the top swimmers in the state, competing last summer at the US Nationals in the 800m, and qualifying for the elite Olympic trial camp in Colorado.   Robby’s focus is winning state for BHS, and also swimming at the Olympic trials at the end of next summer.

Coach Mark Walker at excel swimming has had a huge influence in motivating Robby.  His dream college scenario would be to swim for Cal-Berkley and to major in business.  He has been recruited by many colleges including Air Force, but Robby states anywhere West Coast sounds good.

Alllison Maher

BHS junior Allison Maher is an All-American in the 100m breaststroke, and has high hopes of qualifying for the Olympic trial cuts.  She has been on the Southern all star zone team, and has traveled as far as Long Beach, CA to compete in the Speedo Grand Invitational.

Allison is also the BHS record holder in the 100 breaststroke, and is a 2 time state finalist for the 100 breaststroke.  For the past 12 years she swam for NAC.

Allison has a passion for horses and jumping almost as much as swimming, but a tragic accident last summer sidelined her for almost a year.  She was jumping last August when her horse threw her off breaking her back.  Allison was immobilized for almost four months.  Luckily the best physical therapy for her back was swimming.  By spring, Allison was ready to compete in swimming, and got a new horse named Gracie.

College ambitions for Allison are to swim for a Division 1 school – hopefully Auburn, and get a teaching degree in Special Education
