Colin Hart
BHS recent graduate / lacrosse

Colin Hart, a BHS graduating senior, received All-American status last week in lacrosse. A U.S. Lacrosse All-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge. A U.S. Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States while also embodying excellent sportsmanship.

Other outstanding stats during Colin’s lacrosse career at BHS include: 1st team all-state junior and senior years, and leading defenseman in the state in groundballs, points and goals his junior and senior years. He was also a top player for Team Tennessee.

One of Colin’s highlight moments was scoring two goals against Ravenwood his junior year, the first time BHS beat Ravenwood in lacrosse.

Colin signed to play lacrosse for Bellarmine University in Louisville, where he plans to major in biology and peruse a career in sports medicine.

Hallie Plunkett
BHS rising senior / lacrosse

Last week BHS rising senior Hallie Plunkett was named a U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic team member.  A U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic team member is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills and excellent sportsmanship on the field while also representing high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. Additionally, a U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic player has left her mark by making significant contributions of service to the school or community.

Hallie states much of the BHS team’s growing success, as well as her own, is due to head coach Sasha Cielak.  A highlight of Hallie’s high school LAX career came last year when the team competed in the state playoffs for the first time.

Hallie has a 4.1 GPA and would like to attend the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill to study biology/medicine or sound engineering.  She will decided in the spring about playing lacrosse in college.
