Update: Mickey is AWOL as of Thursday morning. Brentwood Home Page news reports Westie Rescue Southeast is looking for Mickey, a rescue dog, who broke free of his leash at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and ran into the woods behind Grand Oakes Drive and towards Belle Rive II.
The small, white dog weighs 18-20 pounds and is frightened of people but won't bite, the rescue group says.
Mickey isn't wearing a collar due to a skin condition. He came into rescue with no hair, but most of it has now grown back, but it is thin and patchy. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered.
If you find him, please put him in your garage-fenced area until the rescue group can get there.
Until rescued, Mickey suffered abuse and is very timid with people, but is very sweet and gentle. He responds better to female voice.
