An Evening at the Country Club – After Hours Business Mixer – This special mixer for Williamson County's three major Chambers will be Thursday, August 4, 5–7 p.m. at Temple Hills Country Club, 6376 Temple Road, Franklin. Food, drink, networking, entertainment and fun – plus the opportunity to attend a golf clinic and win fantastic door prizes! Door prizes include four initiation fees for a golf membership at Temple Hills (each membership valued at $1,000), four foursomes of complimentary golf, gift certificates and more. Young Professionals Council – This month’s YPC meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 11:30 am – 1 pm at the Brentwood Library, 8109 Concord Road. In this seventh installment of the 2011 Career Development Series Sponsored by BancorpSouth, young professionals will learn how to “Do Things Right and Do the Right Things” as Turney Stevens, Dean, Lipscomb University College of Business, speaks on “Business Ethics for Today’s Marketplace”. Membership Luncheon – This month’s Membership Luncheon will be held Thursday, Aug. 18, with networking opportunities from 11 – 11:30 am and lunch and a program from 11:30 am – 1 pm. The meeting will be at Brentwood United Methodist Church, 309 Franklin Road, and the speaker will be Dr. Mike Looney, Superintendent of Williamson County Schools, who will give an update on the State of Education in Williamson County. Economic & Community Development – This quarterly meeting will be held Friday, Aug. 19, from 7:30 – 9:30 am at a location TBD. Matt Largen, Director of the Williamson County Office of Economic Development, will deliver an address on “The State of Economic Development in Williamson County”. 25th Anniversary Golf Classic – This special event will be held Monday, Aug. 22, at Temple Hills Country Club, 6376 Temple Road, Franklin, with a 12:30 pm Shotgun Start! Prizes will be awarded for: Hole in One, Longest Drive, Beat the Pro, Winning Teams in Each Flight, Women’s Flight, Closest to the Pin, Putting Contest and more!
