Brentwood Home Page news reports Brentwood resident Edward D. (Ed) Lanquist, Jr., the managing shareholder of Nashville law firm Waddey & Patterson, P.C., has been elected a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.
Only 35 Tennessee attorneys were invited this year to membership in the Tennessee Bar Foundation by the Board of Trustees.
Lanquist focuses his practice on patent and trademark litigation, intellectual property counseling, and trademark prosecution. He received his J.D. with Honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1988 and a B.S. in Civil Engineering with Honors from the University of Tennessee in 1985.
He is the current chair of Nashville’s Belcourt Theatre and a current member of the Board of Trustees of Renewal House.
Membership in the Tennessee Bar Foundation, an association of 730 Tennessee attorneys, is a position of honor. The Bar Foundation's purpose is two-fold: to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the profession and to administer a grant making program known by its acronym “IOLTA” (Interest On Lawyers' Trust Accounts).
IOLTA has awarded grants in excess of $17 million to law-related, public interest projects throughout Tennessee.
