The Ravenwood volleyball team defeated Independence 25-14, 25-9 and 25-21 this morning to advance to this afternoon's state championship match.
The Lady Raptors will play the Lady Indians of Dobyns-Bennett High at 3 p.m. for the state title.
In girls soccer action, Brentwood’s Lady Bruins fell to Franklin 2-1 Thursday night in the Region 6-AAA Regional Championship game played at Brentwood. The team ended its season with a 16-1-1 record, which included a perfect district record – a first in school history.  The Lady Bruins will move forward to the first round of sectionals on Saturday afternoon playing Station Camp on their home field.
