Goalie Hull leads Raptors into state

CHATTANOOGA -- Ravenwood’s run at a state title ended in the TSSAA Class AAA quarterfinals when the Lady Raptors lost 2-1 to undefeated Knoxville Farragut on Wednesday.

RHS, finishing the year at 16-6, gave up a goal 5:51 into the game by Katie Beverlein unassisted. Ravenwood then fell behind 2-0 at halftime on Katie Cloud’s score at 29:27 off an assist by Skylar Brewer.

The Lady Raptors pulled within a goal on Emma Rose’s unassisted shot 61:19 into the match, but couldn’t find the net again. RHS senior Rose Hull made four saves in goal, while keeper Katy Hill had two saves for the Admirals (21-0-2).

Ravenwood actually outshot Farragut 14-13 and had five corner kicks to the Admirals’ three. Farragut was also called for 12 fouls to seven against RHS.
