Cross town rivals Brentwood High School and Ravenwood High School girls soccer teams took to the field on Thursday night at the RHS complex.  The teams took to the field playing their fellow travel team players on the opposite team and it made for a kick, physical match.

The Lady Raptors were the first to put it in the net in the first half.  Sarah Jenner took it from midfield and carried it past several Brentwood defenders to put it past the BHS goalie with 21 minutes left in the half.

In the second half of action, the kick off was led by Brentwood and the play ensued between the 18s.  The game flow was back and forth with neither team having a command of the game.

The game took a turn at the 22 minute mark when Maddie Lindley of the Lady Raptors launched a shot from approximately 35 yards out that escaped the outstretched arms of Lady Bruins goalie.  This put the Lady Raptors ahead 2 to 0.

In the remaining time of the second half each of the teams had shots on goal led by Audrey Howard for BHS and Jordan Cassidy of RHS.  However, no one could convert.  The shots on goal were even for both teams but both defenses played bend but not break and protect the goal.

In total there were 2 yellow cards, one for each team.  The two Brentwood goalies, Katie Starr and Megan Nugent, had 13 saves and the Ravenwood goalie, Rose Hull, had 11 saves.
