7 Bruins, 6 Raptors receive All-District recognition
Brentwood Home Page news reports Brentwood senior Kyle Kerstetter was voted District 11-AAA girls Most Valuable Player for the regular season, and Bruins coaches Dennis King and Ronnie Seigenthaler won Coach of the Year honors.
Four players from each the BHS and Ravenwood girls teams earned All-District, along with three Bruins players and two Raptors players on the boys team.
Brentwood's Jack Montague, James Cox and Cody Shelton and Ravenwood's Evan Forhetz and Robert Veal were voted All-District by coaches. King was boys coach of the year leading the Bruins to the regular-season district championship.
Kerstetter, a William & Mary signee, was joined on the All-District girls squad by teammates Paige Parker, Natalie Shumacher and Halle Jarnigan. Erin Lauderdale, Lydia Wright, Ashley Beyke Jayne Rice were All-District for Ravenwood.
Seigenthaler, whose Lady Bruins team finished runner-up in district play, shared the girls Co-Coach of the Year award with Katrina Carter of Hillsboro.
Debrell McLemore of Franklin was named boys MVP.
